Josh Hunt serves as Pastor of First Baptist Church.  A native of Virginia, he began his time at First Baptist in 2012 as Associate Pastor.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Religion from Carson-Newman University, a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Gardner-Webb University, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Church Leadership and Community Witness from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University.  He enjoys theatre, college sports, reading, music, and cheering his son’s YMCA-league sports teams. His passion is to teach, nurture God-given gifts, and equip other Christians to live out their ministries to make a positive impact in the community and around the world.  Josh is husband to Sacha, a school teacher, and father to Jude and Sebastian.
